I was born in Chester, raised in Yorkshire, educated in Derby and live in London! I have been based in London since 2012. I work for SignVideo, a leading Video Relay Service provider in the UK offering access to BSL interpreters remotely.

I’ve been involved with several charities over the years – locally, nationally and internationally. Most notably would be with the British Deaf Association, where I served on the Board of Trustees for 8 years, and for the European Union of the Deaf Youth, where I sat on several committees. I have always been passionate about giving up my time for the Deaf community to strive for a better life for all.

My favourite past time is travelling and I have visited over 50 countries to date. It was during one of my travels that I discovered the Fijian Deaf Community (visiting in August 2011 and March 2017). Since making connections with them, and seeing how they live, I made a vow that I would work tirelessly to fight for equality and a better life for the Deaf Community living in the South Pacific and here I am!
